Tibs - im willing to bribe you for a tekkit map reset and banning of collectors.  How much would that cost?

The collectors make it too easy to be honest. Maybe the mark ones would be okay but I'd be fine with it either way. One of the reasons I stopped playing on the Tekkit server was due to how easy it was to have whatever I wanted - too much like creative. The second reason was because of the grief that kept happening to my farm - and the creeper grief. The third is because I'm addicted to mcMMO. It's probably the main reason I started playing Minecraft when Rowen was explaining some of the mods (or plugins) that ssss.me was running.

Maybe getting rid of some of the more destructive things like whatever someone used to wreak havoc near Arv's base.

I'd probably spend days on tekkit if there were no collectors (or only mark I) and if it had mcMMO on it.
Threw in a link of someone supposedly getting the two to work together. If you don't want to bother trying that or don't want to go in that direction for the tekkit server I completely understand; but, I wanted to at least let my opinion known.

I agree completely with Lae - it comes down to the 'journey' - tekkit has a long long tech tree without collectors, which makes it more fun long term.  But while you're at banning collectors, I agree on Lae's other point, for the love of god, ban nukes and tnt blocks if possible.

I made an automatic filter machine in single player, it makes a filter every 5 seconds (due to long alloy furnace times)

It has an unnecessarily large power source lol

I turned it off, the map is unplayable at least for me, I could join but not move at spawn. The logs are spewing constant server overloads that indicates there are to many things going on per tick for it to keep up. The server just pegs 100% all the time. I will revisit it when I have some time, life has been busy and the 1.4.4 update has not helped much. I need to go through the configs and turn off some stuff and then start a new map but when exactly I can do that I'm not sure. Maybe I am just making excuses but I have been sick this week and work demands much thought that leaves me mentally drained to focus on other things like the server.

I really like tekkit, it is a geeky alternative to the standard minecraft experience. This was an experiment anyway, but one I would like to continue.

i say we drop tekkit. use the same server but turn it into FTB. it is easy to instal and has most of the same mods. plus a few new ones. it is also 1.4.2 as of this post. also it has no EE as of this post
