I don't have any 4K fanciness, but I did pick up a nice 2K curved 21:9 deal a while back.

I enjoy it immensely.

Those curved displays are interesting, for the larger displays it actually makes a lot of sense to put a bend in them. There is a 60" curved 4k tv on display fry's that is beautiful.

I have a Acer B286HK, it was the least expensive 4k display I could find at the time. Definitely not a very good monitor in terms of visual quality, but for getting work done and having a bunch of terminal windows open it is very useful.

If I am doing anything that requires color accuracy I use a Dell U3011 that I love.

I'm currently using two monitors

Asus VG248QE for gaming, it's 1080p, 144hz, 1ms response time, and TN.

Asus PB258Q for viewing pleasure and multitasking, it's a 1440p, 60Hz, IPS, 100%sRGB monitor

Fudge, those Asus VG248QE's are the exact two monitors that I came off of.

My wife was like hey, I want two monitors like you, I said that's cool, you can just have mine. She says, yeah? what will you use? And I was like oh, this 34" inch curved screen I just bought when you said you wanted two monitors.

They're good screens man.

Tibs,

I can see the benefit of curved screen with larger format displays, but for 34" I'm not sure I notice a difference.

They pitch some gimmick about how at this width you need a curved screen because the angle of pixels at the outer edges won't be pointing towards you otherwise... I dunno. The reason I got this specific monitor was because I found a deal on Mass Drop where I got it for something like 30% off, I was really just in the market for a 1440p 34" screen with no regard to whether curved or straight.

yeah it is kinda a gimmick since view angle really doesn't make much a difference with lcd these days, it mattered more with rear projection crt screens.

It would make more sense even to have the curve top to bottom since that still seems to affect lcd.
